Eastnor Pottery near Ledbury will be offering family workshops in the build-up to Christmas, and the theme will be, suitably enough, ‘Evergreen’.

The sessions will be running until December 21, and plenty of pottery Christmas trees will be made in that time.

Potter John Williams said: “Evergreen! is the inspirational title and participants will learn how to create a hollow Christmas using soft clay under the expert tutelage of professional potters.

“The fun doesn’t just stop with the hand making.

“Participants also get to decorate their freshly created masterpieces, there and then with a seasonal palate of paints and underglazes.

If hand modelling isn’t your thing then there is plenty of opportunity to try the potter’s wheel instead.”

The creations will need to dry out before they can be fired and glazed. This process takes about a month.

Sessions need to be booked in advance and the Pottery is open Tuesday to Saturday each week, until December 21. For more details, call 01531 633886 or email admin@eastnorpottery.co.uk
