FIREFIGHTERS are among those to have had their cars targeted by thieves during a spate of break-ins in Upton.
Police received three reports of vehicles being broken into late on Saturday in Upton, including those of firefighters who had been responding to an emergency call.
One vehicle was parked on Old Street car park. A window was smashed and a speaker stolen. The other two were parked just off Minge Lane. One of the vehicles had a smashed window and a small amount of change stolen.
A spokesman for Upton Fire Station said: "It’s with regret that following last night's fire call, two of the crew had their car broken into at the station."
If you have any information or were a witness to any of these crimes contact PCSO 41042 Linda Pawley on 101.
