A 38-YEAR-OLD woman from Kidderminster stole nearly £1,000 worth of perfume from Debenhams.

Emma Stotton, of Crane Street, appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday (July 30), where she pleaded guilty to stealing miscellaneous perfume items to the value of £989 from Debenhams in Worcester on September 1.

She also admitted stealing alcohol worth £371 from Waitrose in Malvern on June 22, and pleaded guilty to wilfully obstructing a police constable on the same day by giving false details.

Stotton was fined £50 for stealing alcohol, plus a victim surcharge of £85.

A community order was made, requiring her to undergo drug rehabilitation activity at Swanswell.

No order was made for compensation due to the limited means of the defendant.

Also at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, a Stourport man was fined £100 for being verbally abusive to a woman.

Darren Anslow, of Sandy Lane, pleaded guilty to anti-social behaviour on July 28, which he was prohibited from doing by a criminal behaviour order.

A community order was made, requiring the 47-year-old to undergo six months of alcohol treatment.

He was fined £100 and must pay a £90 victim surcharge.
