Could I please pass on the thanks of The Rifles Regiment to the people of Herefordshire.

On Saturday 29th June, Armed Forces Day, The Rifles, who are the county regiment exercised their Freedom Rights and marched with ‘swords drawn, bayonets fixed and bugles playing’ at both Leominster and Hereford. In the evening the Band and Bugles of the Rifles sounded retreat at Suvla Barracks. The size of the crowds and the warmth of their reception made this a most special day for the Rifles. The county has a proud military tradition and we are pleased to be part of it; the respect and support for the Armed Forces is clear and was well demonstrated on Saturday. From all Riflemen thank you Herefordshire!
