THE Royal Enfield pub is set to reopen on Friday, June 28, following a £790,000 revamp.
The popular pub, in Unicorn Hill, which first opened as a Wetherspoon in May 2010, is undergoing a refurbishment project, including the addition of a new outdoor area, at the rear of the pub.
A new elevated decking area is being created, on the site of the staff car park.
Accessed via summer opening doors, the area will also have a new access lift.
Inside the pub, which is being completely redecorated, there will be a new colour scheme and the bar area is being upgraded.
Pub manager Gareth Firkin said: “Wetherspoon has spent almost £800,000 on the pub, providing further investment into the town.
“Myself and my team are looking forward to welcoming customers back, and we are confident that they will be impressed by the refurbishment of the building and new outdoor facilities.”
