A PERSHORE man has been banned from driving for a year after admitting drink driving.

Adam Evans, from Pinvin Caravan Site, pleaded guilty to drink driving in Main Street on April 4 when he appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court.

The court heard the 32-year-old had 111mcg of alcohol in his blood, the legal limit being 35mcg.

Evans was disqualified from driving for 12 months which will be reduced by 92 days if Evans successfully completes a drink drive awareness course.

Magistrates fined Evans £166, and ordered him to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and costs of £135 - a total of £331.

Evans made an offer to pay this off at a rate of £10 per week, an offer which was accepted by the magistrates.

The case was heard at the court on June 6.
