BROMSGROVE is set to welcome a new rector at a service led by Rt Rev John Inge, the Bishop of Worcester.
David Ford will be instituted on Saturday June 15, the ceremony will start at 7pm in All Saints’ Church.
He will be joining the Bromsgrove team from the Diocese of Gloucester where he has been Rector of the Northleach Benefice.
Rev Ford said: “These are challenging times for the church, our communities and the nation. The message of Jesus is that all people are valued for who they are and all are important in God's kingdom.
I look forward to sharing this inclusive message of love as we work together as the Anglican churches in Bromsgrove."
He will join the Revds Ray Khan and Bev Robertson in the Bromsgrove team. They said: “We are delighted to welcome David and his wife Liz to our parish and look forward to working together in ministry to the people of Bromsgrove”
Rev Ford is married to Liz, who divides her time between house renovation and studying textiles. They have two adult children – Becky and Kieran.
