HOME Secretary and Bromsgrove MP Sajid Javid’s annual jobs fair takes place later this week.

The event, from 11am to 2pm this Friday, April 26, is at North Bromsgrove High School.

It brings together a wide range of local organisations, businesses and entrepreneurs offering a variety of opportunities to residents looking for jobs and apprenticeships.

Google will also be in attendance to host its digital garage.

Mr Javid said: "I want to ensure local people are given not just the opportunities they need to progress in their career, but the skills to grasp those opportunities too.

"This wouldn't be possible without the generous contribution of local organisations who care about our community."

Lloyds Banking Group is supporting this year’s, fifth annual fair.

As well as taking a stand at the event for a third year, Lloyds will be offering free interview training for local residents attending on the day.

Mr Javid added: “I’m delighted that Lloyds Banking Group will be attending Bromsgrove’s biggest Jobs Fair once again to deliver their popular employability skills training.

Jo Harris, from Lloyds, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting the fair again this year.

"We are committed to helping our local communities to gain access to support that will improve their employment opportunities.

"For many, whether they are just entering the world of work, looking for a career change or returning to work after being out of the job market, a job interview can be a daunting prospect.

"As part of our commitment to help Britain prosper we’re helping to equip job seekers with the skills and confidence they’ll need when they land that all important interview.”
