THE body of a man found in the River Severn near Stourport this morning is believed to be that of missing Stourport dad Stephen Colledge.
A man's body was recovered from the water earlier on Tuesday, April 23.
Police say that formal identification has not yet taken place but that it is believed to be missing Stourport man Stephen Colledge.
The 53-year-old was reported missing on January 29, after being last seen at 9pm that evening following a visit to the Wheatsheaf pub in Stourport High Street.
In the months following, professional rescue teams have conducted numerous searches in the local area, including boat and drone searches around the River Severn.
Speaking after the body was discovered, a spokesman for West Mercia Police said the death is not being treated as suspicious.
A file is now being prepared for the coroner.
Mr Colledge's next of kin has been informed and has asked that their privacy be respected at this time.
