A MAN in his 50s suffered head injuries when he was robbed in a Bromsgrove alleyway.

The incident happened at around 2.25pm on Wednesday afternoon (February 13).

The victim was walking along an alleyway between Barley Mow Lane and Golden Cross Lane when another man approached him from behind, a spokesman for West Mercia Police said.

The victim was assaulted and forced to the floor - sustaining head injuries. The man also took cash from the victim's pocket before running off towards Barley Mow Lane.

He is described as white, around five feet ten inches tall, of medium build, with blond/brown hair and was wearing a blue jacket.

PC Donna Hopkins said: "I would like to reassure the community that we take all reports of this nature extremely seriously.

"We are keen for anyone who saw the incident or was in the area between 2pm and 2.30pm to please come forward.

"Any information, no matter how small, could be significant to our investigation."
