THE Malvern Hills Trust is putting a call out for mountain bikers to help improve access on the hills.

On Saturday, February 23, the Trust is running a volunteer conservation day on the hills aimed at improving access along one of the many bridleways that cross the hills.

The route, along the slopes of Pinnacle Hill, will form part of the long mountain biking route when it is installed in the spring. However, some of the route has been narrowed by vegetation and the Trust is inviting local mountain bikers to help out.

Clearing vegetation in this location will not only improve the sight-lines along this sweeping path but will also benefit the grazing livestock and other grassland species.

All are welcome, not just riders. Volunteers should meet at Gardiner's Quarry car park, off Jubilee Drive, for a 10am start. Gloves and tools will be provided, but please bring warm clothes and boots as the working area is steep.
