A REDDITCH pub has undergone a £250k revamp, and acquired some stunning views at the same time.

The Why Not Inn, in Astwood Bank, is promising to be something special when it re-opens next month, as well as 'independent and community focused'.

General manager Steve Foster-Agg said after six months of hard work the refurb is nearly complete.

"Even before we’ve opened the doors, the locals have been really interested and invested in what’s going on which means we can’t wait to get the doors open and share the changes we’ve made," he said.

"We have opened up the space inside the pub but have also kept some beautiful original features including the stone flooring and the wonderful fire place (now double sided).

"One part of the pub we really can’t wait to see finished is the new garden patio area, with the trees at the side and bottom of the huge garden cleared, the views are absolutely stunning."

He added: "We want The Why Not Inn to be a warm and welcoming pub with the community at its heart.

"We will be providing quality fresh food, with local ales and a great wine list. We will be committing to sourcing produce locally whenever possible supporting our local shops and community."

The pub, which is actively recruiting, will re-open on March 1.
