A HOSPITAL will have a new sensory garden for patients to enjoy.

NFU Mutual in Moreton in Marsh has teamed up with North Cotswold Hospital League of Friends to transform a piece of land in the grounds of North Cotswold Hospital in to a Sensory Garden, for the use of patients and staff of the hospital.

Construction will be carried out by Graduate Gardeners of Bisley and the Garden will be open by April of this year. Paving Slabs have been kindly donated by John Clifford of Westminster Stone of Ellesmere in Shropshire.

North Cotswold Hospital has 22 state of the art ensuite bedrooms, a Minor Injuries Unit (open 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week), hosts over 10,000 clinics each year in a wide range of specialities, has an X-ray department (currently on restricted opening owing to staffing issues but will revert back to a full service in due course) and have Occupational and Physiotherapy.

Alfred Bryant of NFU Mutual Moreton in Marsh Agency stated that they are "delighted to have been able to team up with North Cotswold Hospital League of Friends to help them in providing what will be a marvellous enhancement to the services available to the hospital, which is an extremely important facility to people living in the North Cotswolds."
