PRIMROSE Hospice has announced this year’s Light of Love appeal has already raised a whopping £23,000 towards caring for people with life-limiting conditions and their families.

Now in its 21st year, the annual campaign gives people the opportunity to remember a loved one by dedicating a light to them on one of the hospice's Christmas trees.

Emma Williams, fundraising manager, said: “Lights of Love is a very special campaign for us at Primrose.

“It’s an opportunity for family and friends to remember a loved one during the festive period.”

Hundreds of people have taken part in three church services in Redditch, Bromsgrove and Rubery, and families can continue to make dedications in memorial books up until Friday, December 7.

The books are at Asda in Bromsgrove and Bromsgrove Methodist Church, Redditch’s Kingfisher Centre, and Thomas Brothers Funeral Directors in Crabbs Cross, Wythall and Alvechurch.

The hospice has also announced it is launching its first lantern walk around Hanbury Hall in February 2019, which will follow on from the Lights of Love campaign.
