POLICE have released drone footage of motorcyclists they want to trace after an officer narrowly avoided being run down during a crackdown on off road bikers in Dudley.
West Midlands Police say one of the bikes was deliberately driven at a police officer as neighbourhood officers carried out a drone operation in the Dixon’s Green area of Dudley just after midday on Sunday October 7.
During the operation an officer attempted to stop a motorcyclist who was avoiding officers in the park area but fell over as the suspect rode at him and failed to stop.
Luckily the officer was not injured but police are keen to trace motorcyclists, captured in drone footage in Banklands Road, who it is believed may hold vital information.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk between 8am and midnight, or call 101 anytime, or Crimestoppers (anonymously) on 0800 555 111 - and quote crime reference 20DY/230972M/18.
