BROMSGROVE residents are being warned not to fall for a scam involving conmen pretending to be police officers.
The Bromsgrove Safer Neighbourhood Team issued the warning a spate of such incidents.
Fraudsters are said to be contacting unsuspecting people by phone and claiming to be police officers investigating bank card fraud.
A SNT spokesperson said: "We have had several reports today about residents receiving phone calls from a police officer to inform them that their bank cards had been used fraudulently.
"This is a scam - please do not give out any personal details," they urged.
