A man has been arrested for several offences after being caught less than 15 minutes after shoplifting from Tesco.
The man stole a number of alcoholic spirts from the Tesco store in St Peters.
He was stopped within 15 minutes of the theft being reported by officers who later seized his car.
The offences include, theft, dangerous driving, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of class b drugs.
