THE following cases were heard at Worcester and Kidderminster Magistrates courts. 

 

MICHAEL KERSHAW, of Tolladine Road, Worcester, admitted attempt theft of pedal cycle, criminal damage to property and going equipped for theft. 

The 57-year-old, who tried to steal a bike by damaging the bike lock, committed the offences in Worcester on February 2. 

Kershaw appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on February 27, magistrates adjourning the case for a pre-sentence report. 

The defendant, who was given conditional bail with the condition not to enter Crowngate Shopping Centre, was told to return to the court for sentencing on March 21. 

 

DEAN SPENCER, who gave the court a care of address of Hollybush Lane, Clifton-on-Teme near Worcester, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place. 

The 35-year-old committed the offence in Castle Street, Worcester, on February 5.

Spencer appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on February 27.

The defendant was given a six-month conditional discharge - magistrates explaining if he committed another offence in that period he would be doubly punished. 

No order for costs or victim surcharge was made.

MICHAEL RICHARDS, of Steatite Way, Stourport-on-Severn, admitted drink driving. 

The 74-year-old was caught driving a Seat Ibiza on January 31 in Stourport, when he had a 85mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath - above the legal limit of 35mcg. 

Richards was disqualified from driving for 20 months, which will be reduced by 20 weeks if he successfully completes a drink drive awareness course. 

Richards appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on February 27. 

The defendant was fined £230, ordered to pay costs of £135 and a victim surcharge of £92. 

Richards was told to pay the total, £457, in full within a month. 

 

BENJAMIN TIREBUCK, of Dalegarth Court, Worcester, admitted causing serious injury by careless/inconsiderate driving.

Magistrates heard the 37-year-old caused serious injury to a victim when he was driving a Hyundai ix35 without due care and attention on the A449 on November 16, 2022. 

Tirebuck appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on February 27, the case being adjourned for a medical or psychiatric report. 

Tirebuck, who was given unconditional bail, was told to attend his sentence hearing at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on April 15.

DANIEL MILLER, of Constance Road, Worcester, admitted four charges of breaching a non-molestation order and stalking without fear/ alarm/ distress. 

The 34-year-old committed the offences between February 1 and February 23. 

Miller appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on February 27, the case being adjourned for a pre-sentence report.

The defendant was given conditional bail, Miller being told to attend the sentencing hearing on April 8.
