SPEEDING drivers and drug drivers and those wanted for attacks were among those arrested following action by police though a delivery driver with a dangerously messy van also got a ticket.

The stops have been carried out in Worcester and Evesham by the Operations Patrol Unit for Worcestershire, part of West Mercia Police.

A spokesperson for the OPU said on X (formerly Twitter): "OPU B Shift have taken part in some planned operations over the past few days, the areas targeted were Worcester and Evesham.

"Numerous vehicles were stopped and ticketed for excessive speed. There were also three arrests made after drivers provided positive drug wipes.

"Two persons were arrested for serious assaults. A delivery driver was issued a ticket for driving a vehicle in a dangerous condition, after they were caught trying to play Tetris with the parcels they had in their car."
