NINE new computers have been donated to three Worcestershire schools to assist with pupils’ home-learning after a fund-raising effort by estate agents.

The three schools which have each received three Amazon Fire tablets are St George’s Catholic Primary in Worcester, St Joseph’s Catholic Primary in Droitwich and Somers Park School in Malvern.

The free computers came after local firm Nicol and Co made a donation to an online fundraiser called Computers for Home Schooling.

Nicol and Co founder Matt Nicol said: “We made a donation to this worthy cause as estate agents and Stephen immediately got in touch to offer us some devices for our local community.

"We were thrilled to get involved as we know there’s a huge need for more computers to help schools connect with pupils learning from home."

The Computers for Home Schooling project has already raised nearly £42,000 of its £50,000 project.
