HOW would you review 2020 if you were summing up the pandemic year for Tripadvisor?
That was the question baker Sam Mellor asked herself when she was creating her playful take on lockdown life and the tier system in cupcake form.
The former Bridgwater High student has created a one-star review of 2020 cupcake, which is available at the food hall at Bents in Glazebury and says: "Couldn't wait for it to end. Complete waste of time. Would not recommend."
Sam, from Winwick, said: "I've needed humour and sarcasm to get through this year and have expressed this in some of my cake designs.
"I'm fond of leaving reviews on Tripadvisor and Google but I've had no holidays to review this year...they were all cancelled.
"So I thought I'd end the year with this 2020 review instead."
Sam, who has been making cakes professionally for around 10 years, has also created some toilet roll inspired celebration cakes as a nod to the panic buying shortages during the first lockdown. See below.
