WALTON Hall and Gardens will still be open throughout the new Warrington restrictions and visitors can continue to use the car park, it has been confirmed in the park's tier 4 guidance.

Youngsters can also enjoy the playground as usual as long as social distancing rules are observed.

However many of the popular site's family attractions will be closed until further notice including the children's zoo, glasshouses and adventure golf.

A spokesman said: "Our zoo rangers will be caring for the animals as usual, and you can catch up with their exploits on our social media pages.

"Although this isn’t how we wanted to celebrate the end of the year, we understand that safety is most important. Therefore, there are a few changes to what you can do here at Walton Hall and Gardens."

Warrington Guardian:

Train rides and fairground attractions are also closed for the time being but the Heritage Café will have a takeaway service.

The spokesman added: "Despite these imminent closures to some of our attractions, you can still make the most of our extensive grounds and explore the woodland, paths, formal gardens and orchard.

"It’s amazing the types of birds and animals you can see at this time of year, and you may even find our very confused daffodils – trying to convince everyone that it’s nearly spring."

Walton Hall and Garden's car park will be open as usual. Visitors can pay using the Ringo app or by calling 950080, siting location number 18157 if they do not want to use the machine.
