WARRINGTON residents are among 44 million people now under the toughest Covid-19 restrictions.
The tier 4 rules came into effect in the borough this morning.
It is the same situation for much of England in the fight back against coronavirus infection rates with 78 per cent of the population in tier 4.
It means people cannot leave home without a 'reasonable excuse' and non-essential shops and services must close.
Pubs and restaurants can only offer a takeaway service.
This is some of the reaction from some of Warrington's shops, restaurants, salons and retail sector as we approach very muted New Year's Eve celebrations.
