THE last of 178 homes near Droitwich hit by a power cut caused by damaged overhead lines are awaiting the restoration of electricity supply.
The postcodes still being affected are in the rural outskirts to the west of Droitwich in one of three problems attended by Western Power Distribution in the region today (Monday, December 28).
Homes in Evesham were without electricity for an hour this afternoon (Monday, December 28) after a tree hit overhead power cables in Badsey.
Overhead lines were down, causing 209 properties in the Drakes Broughton area to be affected from 9am this morning. Just one remains without power for now with the rest of the issue resolved before noon.

The power supply problems reported yesterday (Sunday) near Worcestershire Royal Hospital and Malvern have been resolved.
Western Power Distribution reports it had restored supply to 28,870 homes and businesses disrupted by Storm Bella up to 8pm on Sunday, December 27.
