THERE have been no new coronavirus related deaths recorded at Worcestershire hospitals according to official statistics.

The latest NHS England daily figures (October 21) show there have been no new deaths recorded in the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust, which remains at 288 deaths, with the number of deaths in the Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust remaining at 29 deaths.

In total there have been 317 Covid-19 deaths in county hospitals and in all settings there have been at least 540 Worcestershire deaths.

Nationally a further 94 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 31,275.

Patients were aged between 49 and 97 years old. All but one patient (aged 71) had known underlying health conditions.

Date of death ranges from 14 October to 20 October 2020 with the majority being on or after 17 October.
