A COUNTRY market selling local and sustainable produce is set to launch in Kidderminster next month.

The new Kidderminster Country Market has been set up by a group of local home producers and craftspeople, who have come together to hold their first event at Youth House in Bromsgrove Street on Saturday, October 3.

The market will be open between 10.30am and 12.30pm, selling a selection of cakes, jams, honeys, pre-prepared food including some vegetarian and vegan options, as well as fresh produce, plants and crafts.

Kidderminster Country Market manager Kate Spohrer said: "It’s great to bring a country market to Kidderminster which essentially has always been a thriving market town.

"We are starting small but with enough local support we hope to quickly grow and then we’ll be able to expand what’s on offer and also include more veg, vegan and gluten free options."

Kidderminster Country Market will be partnering with the local Repair Cafe so that visitors can drop off their repairs at Youth House and browse the market stalls at the same time.
