FRESH plans to build hundreds of homes in Daresbury have been revealed.

Halton Borough Council granted planning permission for 300 houses to be built on the site off Delph Lane – bordering the A56 Chester Road, Daresbury Park and the Bridgewater Canal – back in September 2018.

But now Redrow Homes is seeking consent for a variation of these proposals.

This would see the number of units on the southern portion of the plot reduced from 122 to 108.

Submission documents stated: “Over the course of the past 12 months, Redrow has been in consultation with the local planning authority and highways team seeking to devise the best possible scheme from the Daresbury development.

“As a result of forming more detailed plans for the northern part of the south development, it has proven necessary to make some amendments.

“The re-planned scheme alters the existing design by updating the housing mix, and thus adjusting the quantum of units present from 122 plots to 108 plots.

“No adverse effects to that already approved are encountered with the re-planned scheme.”

A consultation on the plans runs until Thursday, October 29.
