A HALL in Ulverston is asking artists to submit works for their Summer Exhibition.

Swarthmoor Hall is inviting artists living, working or inspired by Cumbria to submit their work for the exhibition starting on July 6.

In the 17th century the Hall’s owners offered protection and hospitality to early Quakers, including its founding father George Fox.

Swarthmoor Hall welcomes submissions that reflect Quaker values of simplicity, peace, truth and equality.

The art will be on display in the large, modern conference space and the deadline for submissions is May 29.
