GOALKEEPER James Wren says a tip from his dad helped him save Scott Rendell's penalty during Stourbridge's FA Cup stalemate with Eastleigh.
Wren pulled off a brilliant penalty save in the 67th minute when Stour were leading 2-1 at the War Memorial Ground on Saturday.
Rendell went on to bag a late equaliser for the Spitfires to send the tie to a reply but Wren was quick to praise his dad after his help with a .
He said: "It was a nice moment. I had a feeling within myself that I was going to save it.
"I have to thank my dad as well. He's followed my up and down the country and he loves football and had done his research.
"He actually knew where the penalty was going and told me two days before.
"I am standing in the goal thinking I know where this is going, which is great.
"So I have to thank my dad for that one. He's Stourbridge's secret scout."
