A DRIVER from Worcester was disqualified for three years after traces of illegal drugs were found in his bloodstream.
Magistrates heard that Daniel Harvey, aged 45, was driving a Ford transit when he was stopped by police officers at about 1am on December 14 on Tallow Hill in Worcester.
A roadside drug test proved positive, and a blood test subsequently revealed the presence of benzoylecgonine, indicating he had taken cocaine.
He pleaded guilty to a charge of driving with a controlled drug in his system
Jo Outhwaite, for Harvey, told the court that he had been to a party that evening, but had no recollection of taking cocaine.
She said: “He has wondered if he had been spiked. He’s not a user of cocaine.”
As well as the ban, Taylor was ordered to pay a fine of £120, with cots of £50 and a £30 victim surcharge.
