THIS week, our youth sport feature brings some under 10s pictures between West Worcester Youth Girls against Worcester City Girls in the Mercian League Shield Final at Malvern Town. West Worcester Youth won 3-0.

The match started off on an even playing field with end to end action in quite blustery conditions at times. But West Worcester Youth were 1-0 up at half time through Ruby Court.

Both teams came out full of energy in the second half and played some good football, with West Worcester Youth scoring two more goals by Sophie Layton. West Worcester Youth are looking for new players to join their existing and new girls teams (current school years two to five).

If anyone is interested, come along to their Sunday morning development centre at Temple Laugherne, Lower Broadheath, 10am-11am.

We’re very keen to receive pictures from parents, coaches, spectators and amateur photographers who want to see their images in the newspaper and online – and seen by tens of thousands of people – with their name published to credit them.

We’re looking for team photos before the match as well as action shots, and just the name of the club or clubs involved.

There’s no need to send us the names of the children taking part.

But, whether it’s basketball, football or rugby, hockey or athletics, gymnastics or martial arts, swimming or any of the other sports that our young people are involved with, and you want us to cover your team or can send us pictures of your matches, please email editor Michael Purton at michael.purton@newsquest.co.uk
