UP to 26 permanent and nine seasonal job roles will be cut at West Midland Safari Park.

Following a full-scale review of the park's operations, bosses have confirmed that 72 staff in management, administration, commercial and service support departments will be going through a redundancy consultation process.

MORE than 1,400 people have signed a petition calling on the county council to save the embattled Rubery Library.

The Advertiser previously reported that library users in the county were told to ‘use it or lose it’ by the county council as part of a consultation to help the authority save £800,000.

POLICE have stepped up patrols at Rowley Regis train station after a spate of vandalism to cars.

Nine car windscreens were smashed and other vehicles had wing mirrors kicked off at the station's car park last Thursday - other incidents of vandalism to cars have been reported on social media.

A WOMAN has spoken of her distress after her family's two cars were spray painted in an unprovoked act of vandalism while they were on holiday.

The woman, who does not wish to be named, was on holiday in India with her husband and two young sons when she received a message from a neighbour telling her that their cars had been vandalised on their drive in Upper Gornal, Dudley.

A CROOK who stole a pizza delivery car while the driver desperately tried to cling onto the vehicle has avoided more time behind bars.

Serial criminal Gareth Bowen decided to take the Toyota after spotting it was unattended in Stourbridge Road, Brierley Hill, while driver Maneesh Chacko made a delivery.
