Under clear skies, temperatures will drop to lows of -4°C, and frost will form in the early hours.
There will also be isolated freezing fog patches by morning.
Looking ahead to Friday, it will be a bright and frosty start to the day with fog patches slowly clearing.
The rest of the day will be dry and sunny but rather cold, with light winds. Maximum temperature 4°C.
