A NEW 1,600 capacity live music and events space has opened in Digbeth.

The recent launch, spread across three days, saw almost 4,000 revellers cross the threshold of The Mill.

Located at 29 Lower Trinity Street, the multi-purpose space, will showcase an eclectic programme from multi-genre live music concerts, expansive club nights offerings and private event spectacles.

The Mill’s launch event programme boasts acts such as Gentleman’s Dub Club, Napalm Death and Fun Lovin’ Criminals.

Designed to deliver the ultimate live music and clubbing experience, The Mill, which represents an investment of more than half a million pounds for the MJR Group, boasts a Void sound system and a state-of-the-art lighting system.

The floors of the three-storey venue have been levelled throughout, creating an enhanced sight-line for gig-goers whilst two new artist dressing rooms with private en-suites have also been added.

Offering two rooms for live music revellers and club-goers to move between, the unique warehouse space showcases soaring exposed beams and also has a mezzanine level and an open-top roof garden with expansive views across Digbeth.

Benjamin Newby, Operations Director at The MJR Group, said: “The Mill has undergone extensive renovations designed to deliver the best experience possible, for both our guests and artists.

"We’re really looking forward to hosting a range of exciting live acts and some of the biggest names in the nightlife circuit in Digbeth, one of the most vibrant creative quarters in the UK.”
