LOOKING for something to do with the family next week?

For a Halloween with more roar than ever before, head to Twycross Zoo for a spook-tacular day out.

From wondrous witches to scary storytellers, the attraction is promising something for the whole family this October Half Term.

The zoo, on the Leicestershire/Warwickshire border, boasts the largest collection of monkeys and apes in the Western World, including the UK’s only group of bonobos.

Bromsgrove Advertiser:

It is also an award-winning conservation charity.

Entry fee actively contributes to protecting species from threats and horrors as funding supports the conservation of the endangered species residing at the zoo.

As well as its normal attractions it is hosting its biggest Halloween event ever with four brand new attractions, from October 26 to November 3.

Bromsgrove Advertiser:

Youngsters can grab a broomstick and get ready for some training with the wondrous witch, sing and dance-along in a singing pumpkin display, meet the wicked witch in her immersive show, and sit in the witch’s coven and listen to fairytales.

There is also the chance to enter the Borneo Longhouse and journey through the unknown before facing your fears in the zoo’s family-friendly mystery box scare challenge, and a spooky walk-through trail in the Lemur enclosure.

Bromsgrove Advertiser:

Other highlights include a chance to feed the lorikeets, a walk through the Butterfly Forest, and watching the Penguin Parade.

When the fun is over, there is the chance to rest up and recover in the Himalaya visitor centre and enjoy a Costa while children can monkey around in the indoor soft play jungle.

There are lots of things to do for young and old ones, including getting up close and personal with many of the zoo's animals.

The attraction is the prefect day out.
