Bampton, also called Bampton-in-the-Bush, is a settlement and civil parish in the Thames Valley about six miles southwest of Witney in Oxfordshire. The city of Oxford is about half an hour away and eighteen miles. It is thirty miles from the M4 at Chieveley and thirty miles from the M40 at Banbury. The Bampton Medical Practice serves Bampton and its surrounds. St Mary's Church is at the centre of the village.
