ENGLAND and Australia are set to go head-to-head at Worcestershire’s New Road home next month.
However, the old enemies won’t be squaring up in the middle, instead they will be taking part in a battle of the brains as the two teams take part in a fund-raising quiz as part of Matt Mason’s testimonial year.
There are some famous names lined up to take part, with all to be revealed shortly, and the event, which is part of former County seamer Matt Mason’s testimonial year, will be in support of the Worcestershire Breast Care Unit Campaign.
The two teams of former England and Australian cricketers will take on each other in a quiz sure to reignite old rivalries in the marquee at New Road on June 21.
Quizmaster and MC for the night will be BBC Hereford and Worcester’s Dave Bradley and there will also be a chance to bid in an auction for a place on either of the teams for the quiz.
There will be a raffle as well as some superb auction items to bid for and the event, which includes a buffet dinner, gets under way at 7.30pm. Tickets are £25 per head and to book your place e-mail mattmasontestimonial2012@gmail.com or call 07837-957919.
