WORCESTERSHIRE Seconds have included Adeel Shafique in their side to face Warwickshire Seconds in a four-day match at Barnt Green beginning tomorrow (11am).

Shafique, 21, played for Nottinghamshire at under-13, under-14, under-15, under-17 and Second Eleven level.

This summer he has been part of the MCC Young Cricketers side and last week turned out for Sussex Seconds in two T20 games against Somerset Seconds.

He will bat at number six in this game and can also keep wicket if required although Ben Tegg will be behind the stumps in place of Alex Milton who is taking his exams at Cardiff MCCU.

Triallist paceman Matthew King, who impressed in the Championship win over Leicestershire at Oakham, is again part of the side.

King returned 4-36 in the second innings as coach Kevin Sharp's side triumphed by nine wickets.

With Moeen Ali playing the last game of his current spell with Worcestershire against Glamorgan, the opportunity will be there for the batsmen to stake a claim to be added to the senior squad for Sunday's home encounter with Sussex.

Worcestershire Seconds: Rhodes (c), Westbury, Kervezee, Hepburn, Malik, Shafique, Twohig, Tegg (w), Russell, Morris, King.
