WICKETS tumbled on the first day of two as Worcestershire tackled local rivals Gloucestershire at Royal Grammar School Worcester's Flagge Meadow.
The hosts scored 182-9 from their 60 overs in the pre-season friendly as Ed Barnard (54 not out) and George Rhodes (27no) prevented an early finish to the innings.
None of the top four reached double figures as Craig Miles took 4-33, Oliver Currill 2-23 and Liam Norwell 2-16.
Gloucestershire had 30 overs and replied with 85-4 as Phil Mustard scored 37no and skipper Joe Leach claimed 3-19.
The roles should be reversed tomorrow with the visitors batting for 60 overs and Worcestershire, who lead by 97 runs, for 30.
