WORCESTERSHIRE spinner Ben Twohig led Kidderminster to a five-wicket win at Bridgnorth in Birmingham League Division One.

The two sides beat the wet weather unlike most clubs in the competition.

The start was delayed by 30 minutes before the visitors tore through the Shropshire hosts for 103 in 35.1 overs after choosing to field first.

Kidderminster bagged 20 points by knocking off the runs in 34.5 overs with 108-5.

Twohig took 5-6 from six overs with Liam Weston claiming 2-25, County colleague Pat Brown 1-17, Barney Morgan 1-14 and Connor Smith 1-16.

Kidderminster did not find conditions too hard despite losing opener Shameer Ahmed (2) caught and bowled.

Thirty-four runs were added for the second wicket when Twohig (23) was caught out.

Captain Neil Pinner (1) and opener Andy Kimberlin with five off 38 balls in 62 minutes also departed.

The fifth wicket fell on 69 with Richard Kimberlin (11) bowled but Smith finished on 40 not out from 70 balls and Weston 11no.

Kidderminster go to Barnards Green on Saturday (noon) for a county derby.
