FORMER Worcestershire and Warwickshire players rolled back the years when turning out in aid of Daryl Mitchell's benefit season in a 30-over-a-side game at New Road.

Bears Legends won by nine wickets against Pears Legends with Worcestershire director of cricket Steve Rhodes umpiring.

Ben Smith added 20, Martin Weston 15, David Banks 20 and Gavin Haynes 21, while Alan Richardson took 2-25 from six overs.

When Bears replied, Phil Newport took the new ball.

County coach Matt Mason bowled four tidy overs for 14 runs.

But Wasim Khan (69 not out) and Anurag Singh (55 retired) saw Bears to victory in an opening stand of 102.

Roger Sillence claimed the one wicket in dismissing Dominic Ostler as Bears reached their target in 22.1 overs via a six off the one delivery bowled by Mitchell.
