KENT narrowly triumphed in a fun-packed Question of Sport quiz at New Road last night for Worcestershire skipper Daryl Mitchell's 2016 benefit year.
Darren Stevens’ side sealed a narrow 50-47 win over Mitchell’s men after Jack Shantry failed to answer a tough final question correctly.
Shantry, Ed Barnard and Joe Leach joined Mitchell for the successful evening, which was sponsored by the Worcester News.
Stevens was joined by Sam Northeast, Adam Riley, Matt Walker and 'extra' player in Mitchell Claydon in the Kent line-up.
After the main event, the audience split into more than 16 teams to take part in a sports quiz organised by compere Dave Bradley.
Thanks @ianmorganWN @geoffberkeleyWN @jamesreeceWN for entering @MitchBenefit16 quiz, not saying which team drew a blank in true/false round

Bradley, a Worcester News columnist and BBC Hereford and Worcester presenter, said: "The night was a big success. The Kent lads entered into the spirit of the occasion and were superb."
