ENGLAND ace Ben Te’o is back in full training with Worcester Warriors as he recovers from a quad muscle injury.

But director of rugby Alan Solomons admitted the explosive centre was “not ready” to return to competitive action yet.

Te’o underwent surgery on a quadriceps tear sustained in training with England ahead of the summer tour to South Africa.

But Solomons said the 31-year-old was among a group including Jack Singleton, Ethan Waller and Anton Bresler who were on “the cusp of returning”.

“Ben is back in training,” Solomons said.

“He took part in this afternoon’s session so he is on the way back. That is a big positive.”

Hooker Jack Singleton has missed Warriors’ first two Premiership matches with a neck issue.

But Solomons said: “Like Ben, Jack is getting back into it. He is pretty close now to returning.”

Warriors’ chief also said prop Waller was “not far off” from getting back to full fitness after undergoing an operation on his shoulder following the conclusion of the 2017-18 campaign.

“He took part, not fully, (in training) today,” Solomons said.

“It has been difficult for him because of the operation on his shoulder.

"He will probably need a little while to get fit but he is not far off it which is really positive.

“(Ethan and Ben) had off-season ops. We had them done as soon as we could and we knew we that we had to be patient.

“But those guys are on the cusp of returning.”

On lock Bresler (groin), Solomons added: “He is in exactly the same position as the others.

“We should get those boys returning to play over the next couple of weeks.”
