WORCESTER Warriors' AASE team have joined up with the University of Wolverhampton following their move to Stourport High School.

The new partnership will enable pupils to find out more about higher education through visits from staff and taster sessions at the university.

It will also benefit current university students as they will be able to access work experience placements at the club. These will include a range of roles such as rugby coaching, strength and conditioning coaching, sports physiotherapy and sports data analysis.

The university is sponsoring the under 18 team's new kit which was unveiled before Stourport High's opening game against Oaklands College (Saracens AASE) at Sixways.

Paul Bywater, UK recruitment manager at the university, said: "This is an exciting opportunity for the University of Wolverhampton, Worcester Warriors and Stourport High School to develop the sports and academic careers of students."

Warriors' AASE manager Ryan Watkins added: "We are extremely pleased to announce that the University of Wolverhampton will be sponsoring the AASE programme this year.

"We are building a great relationship with them and it offers both parties the opportunity to provide some great learning experiences for their players and students across the board."
