WORCESTER Warriors under 18s produced a fine second-half comeback to defeat Northampton Saints 26-20 in the Premiership Under 18 Academy League.

Warriors took an early lead when full-back Noah Heward broke from halfway before wing Ollie Gould finished off the move at Bedford.

Saints soon replied when Jack Hughes crossed for his first score with the conversion and penalty adding to the scoreline.

Fraser Thompson barrelled over on half-time and prop Hughes stretched the lead in the second period with another try to make it 20-5.

The comeback began when lock Tom Fawcett offloaded and Charlie Gamble eventually scored with Jake Leonard converting from out wide.

Replacement prop Lewis Holsey burst through to touch down and Josh Phipps converted.

Then Worcester carried hard in midfield and Gamble scored in the corner to secure their first win of the season with Phipps adding the extras.

Warriors host Yorkshire Carnegie on Sunday.
