SANTIAGO Colts under-13s girls followed up winning the Stourbridge League Cup with a 3-0 success against Kinver Girls to progress to the semi-final of the Merit Cup.

Goals for Louise O’Connell (2) and Tyler Green ensured victory, while Emily Edgecox was player-of-the-match.

After winning the under-10s Birmingham FA Futsal Cup, Santiago Sting went on to qualify for the national finals after winning the Regional League.

Patrick Doherty, Niall Doherty, Lucas Percy, Harry Keen, Reece Homer and Callum Norris started for Sting.

Santiago Emeralds were also asked to play in the competition in the absence of a Herefordshire and Worcestershire team. Jake Marsden, Tom Broomhall, Lewis Hewitt, Tom Hobbis, Owain Taylor and Charlie Day featured for Emeralds.
