WORCESTER Raiders bounced back from a midweek thrashing with a 2-0 win at West Midlands League Division One basement boys Willenhall Town.

The eighth-placed Claines Lane side had previously slumped 6-1 at Team Dudley in a further blow to their promotion hopes.

Anthony Smith's penalty and an Aston Gunter strike, both in the second period at Willenhall, guided Raiders to their 12th league win of the season.

Raiders visit Bustleholme on Saturday before hosting St Martins on Bank Holiday Monday (both 3pm).

In the same division, Bromyard Town lost 3-0 at home to mid-table rivals Wrens Nest.

Meanwhile, Droitwich Spa followed up a 6-0 hammering of Hampton with a 3-1 home win over Barnt Green Spartak in Midland League Division Two.

Captain Mike Seeley, James Lemon's penalty and Brad Burgess netted after Spa had gone in at half-time one down.

Lemon scored a hat-trick in the midweek beating of Hampton, who were top of the table before kick-off, with Burgess (2) and Matt Hunt also on target.

Droitwich produced one of their best performances of the season in the triumph.

Spa host local rivals Fairfield Villa at Stourport's Walshes Meadow tomorrow night while Westfields entertain Rocester in the Premier Division (both 7.45pm).
