BROMSGROVE triathlete Sam Boswell enjoyed some late season success at the weekend competing in the Market Bosworth sprint triathlon.
After competing in Ironman events last year Boswell took on a new challenge by tackling sprint courses consisting of a 750m open water swim, 20km bike and 5km swim.
Boswell, who works as a sports massage therapist, said: "I was shocked to be first out the swim but quickly dropped to third before even getting to transition.
“I then had a slow transition and dropped to fourth. I clawed back to third on the bike followed by another not so great transition into the run then closed the gap and finally took the lead just before the turn around on the run route."
She extended her lead and take the overall win.
