Wakelam hat-trick leads Droitwich to summer hockey win over Bromsgrove
DROITWICH Spa secured their third win of the Worcestershire Summer Hockey League campaign with a 4-3 beating of Bromsgrove.
Having lost 5-2 away Spa bounced back at home despite going 2-0 down inside seven minutes.
They picked up as Tommy Ross and Andy Rollason linked well with Ashley Davies and Lee Wakelam.
Spa drew level through Wakelam as he rifled home a shot and then finished off a penalty corner.
Wakelam put them ahead for the first time with his 10th goal in six games only for Bromsgrove to equalise.
But with seven minutes left Matt Lee bagged Spa's winner.
