In a quiet week for matches the pick of the crop was the Mixed C team’s 4-0 victory over Bewdley C in division 4E. Despite Voitek Niedzwiedz carrying a back injury he teamed up with Di Inchley to win both rubbers without dropping a set. It was the same story for new pairing of Linda Woolley with Trevor Errington to produce a clean sweep and maximum points for the team. The win puts them just behind the promotion spots but with a match in hand over the teams above them.
In division 5E the Men’s C team had a tough encounter against Wall Heath B. The 1-5 defeat didn’t really reflect how close the match was with a number of tense 3 set battles. Max Feltham with Ian Pidgen secured the single rubber and 2 points for Bromsgrove.
After promotion last year the Ladies C team are finding life in Division 4E tough. However although going down to Pershore B 2-4 the 4 points gained helped consolidate their position out of the relegation zone. Isabelle O’Connor with Connie Wedelich took a rubber as did Alison Douglas with Claudia Bullock.
